Round brilliant cut is the most popular and well-researched shape of diamond available. Round diamonds have been studied for almost 100 years, with the aim of optimizing the fire and brilliance in them. A round diamond usually gives more flexibility for balancing out cut, colour, and clarity. Maximise the brilliance of a round cut by selecting one in the highest cut grades, and choose Ideal, Excellent, or very good polish and symmetry grades.
