In today’s era of technological advancement, the creation of jewellery benefits from cutting-edge 3D CAD programs like Matrix and Rhino. This innovative process offers substantial value to our clients as it provides a realistic 3D representation of the piece before the actual crafting begins.

At Waldemar Jewellers, our approach involves breaking down the jewellery into multiple components, enabling our skilled artisans to meticulously refine each part before the final assembly. This meticulous process ensures a superior, polished finish that meets our exacting standards.

These component blueprints are transformed into wax models using rapid prototyping, a method utilizing 3D CAD data to produce physical parts or assemblies. The wax models then undergo casting in gold or platinum via the lost-wax casting process, where molten metal is poured into moulds created from wax models.

Following this casting phase, the metal components are entrusted to our master jewellers for the final cleanup and meticulous assembly, ensuring the creation of a jewellery piece that embodies both artistry and precision.

Setting By Hand

Following the meticulous cleanup and assembly, the item proceeds to our skilled setter. Setting demands a unique and specialized skill set, as it entails precisely cutting into diamonds or gemstones and securely placing them within the gemstone’s setting. Various styles and techniques are employed in gemstone setting, including prong setting, bezel setting, channel setting, and bead setting.

While some jewellers may handle the entire process independently, our commitment to excellence drives us to engage only the most qualified craftsmen at each stage. This ensures that each piece of jewellery is meticulously finished to deliver the premium quality you rightfully expect and deserve.

Polishing

After the piece is meticulously crafted, assembled, and stones are set, it undergoes a professional polishing process. This involves the use of various grades of mops on a polishing motor, resulting in a remarkably polished finish.

Following the completion of jewellery polishing and comprehensive surface cleaning, a jeweller may apply any necessary chemical finishes, such as rhodium plating or antique patinas. The jewellery polishing team’s artistic skills play a crucial role in enhancing the shine and delivering the lustrous finish that distinguishes your jewellery.
