FLUORESCENCE

Fluorescence in diamond is graded in inert, faint, negligible, medium, strong, and very strong. Faint to medium fluorescence, can usually only be detected by a trained gemologist under an UV light. Fluorescence are not always a bad effect in diamonds as they can make near colourless diamonds appear to be even whiter. However fluorescence can on rare occasions make a diamond appear to be hazy or oily in appearance.
