CLARITY
The clarity of a diamond is indicated by the amount of inclusions in a stone. There a few different reasons for inclusions they are the following, scratches, trace minerals, flaws in the atom structure of the stone, and other tiny characteristics that can distract from the purity of the diamond. Flawless (FL) is a perfect diamond clarity with no inclusions this are extremely rare and are sought after. One clarity grade can dramatically effect the price of a diamond.

I1–I3 - Meaning Included – Inclusions are visible by the naked eye.
FL, IF – Meaning Flawless and Internally flawless. Flawless means no inclusions, external or internal of the diamond. Internal Flawless means no internal inclusion in the diamond.
VVS1- VVS2 – Meaning Very, very slightly included. This means that the inclusions in the diamond are extremely difficult to see under a 10x magnification
VS1- VS2 – Meaning Very slightly included. The inclusions are not typically visible to the naked eye.
SI1- SI2 – Meaning Slightly included. The inclusion will be visible under a 10x magnification an may be visible with the naked eye.
