Colour: The colour of the diamond is an important factor in determining the quality of the stone. In white diamonds or colourless diamonds a D grading is the best and highly valued. It is extremely hard to find diamonds that are completely free from some colour. Absolutely colourless diamonds are graded ‘D’. The grade then descends to ‘Z’.
Carat: Large diamonds are rare and as such, they are much more valued. The more Carat weight of a diamond, the more expensive it becomes. One carat is equal to 100pts.
